Leather Alternative (from apple waste)
A cruelty-free alternative to animal leather made from waste from the Italian apple juice and jam industry. Blended with polyurethane, it creates a soft, durable material. Unlike animal leather—which contributes to 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, consumes up to 15,000 litres of water per kilogram, and relies on toxic chemicals—this option is eco-friendly and sustainable.

Low-Zinc Solid Brass Hardware
Our custom solid brass hardware is durable, recyclable, and crafted with low zinc content to reduce environmental impact. It requires less energy to produce, minimises reliance on harmful zinc mining, and offers corrosion resistance for a long lifespan.

Short Supply Chain
The vast majority of our materials are exclusively sourced and produced within the same regions of Italy where our products are made. This reduces environmental impact, such as a smaller carbon footprint, while fostering strong relationships with our production partners and supporting the local economy.

• Clean with a damp cloth; use mild soap if needed, and air dry.

Extra Care Advice:

• Rinse the entire item with clean water after extended exposure to the beach or saltwater. Dry with a cloth or allow it to air dry.
• Occasionally, use a soft toothbrush to remove any debris buildup between the smaller solid brass parts, like buckles or clasps.
• Avoid drying in direct sunlight or near heating sources.
• Do not apply leather protector or moisturiser.
• Do not machine wash.

The standard length leashes from our Mela Caspita collection are designed to suit dogs of all sizes and breeds.
The leashes come in two different widths; the small width matches with our XS and S sized Mela Caspita collars and all available sizes of the Mela Caspita mini harnesses. For all remaining sizes we recommend our standard width.

Please note, our leashes do not possess special chew-proof or chew-resistant properties.

We offer a one-year warranty on defects in materials or workmanship, excluding normal wear and tear.
