Rooted in a deep love for dogs, aesthetics, and the art of living well, at BY SCOUT we create quality products for our beloved dogs, their humans, and their homes.

Every design begins in-house and comes to life through our close-knit, low-impact Italian-based supply chain. We work exclusively with skilled craftspeople in our production houses in Italy, and are dedicated to using only high-quality, cruelty-free, and certified environmentally friendly materials — from innovative bio-based leather alternatives to organic fibres.

Born in Louisiana, reimagined in Europe, loved around the world.

Our journey began in 2012 in Louisiana, USA, under the name See Scout Sleep — a playful, design-led brand created for awesome dogs and their humans. Named after Scout, the sweetest pup who loved to nap, and shaped by a background in interior and pattern design, See Scout Sleep quickly became a favorite for those who cherished dogs and beautifully made things in equal measure.

As we grew, so did our community of customers and stockists worldwide. In 2015, we relocated in Italy and the UK, placing us closer to the sustainable materials and artisans who bring our products to life.

Over time, we evolved into a more layered version of ourselves — one that called for a new name. In 2021, BY SCOUT was born. A continuation of our beginnings, but with a broader vision: soulful living with dogs, paired with a deeper commitment to sustainability, design, always touch of quirk, and always scouting for better ways to make amazing products kind for both our planet and its creatures.

We’re now a tight-knit, international team of creative, dog-loving enthusiasts, working together to bring our vision to life — for dogs and humans who appreciate the finer things in life.

Kindness at the Core

At BY SCOUT, we work exclusively with vegan, sustainable materials sourced through a short supply chain, often produced in and around the very regions where our products are made. We never produce in bulk — instead, we create smaller batches based on demand, giving each product a home and a purpose. Rather than taking the easier way, we choose the kinder way — staying committed to thoughtful solutions that protect both our planet and the creatures who call it home.
